Cassie Cooties

Cassie Cooties is a performance and video artist based in San Diego, California. Cassie is originally from Sydney, Australia where they earned a B.A in Fine Arts and Arts, majoring in Time-Based Art and Theatre and Performance Studies at UNSW. They were a performer in the projects "Marina Abramovic: In Residence" in 2015 and Barbara Cleveland "Making History" in 2016. Their work has been shown at Kudos Gallery in Sydney. At UNSW, they curated two art exhibtions for Queer students and organized and edited six collaborative zines,

Cassie works part-time as a pet detective and volunteers their time with different LGBTIQ+ organizations, including Lambda Archives, for who they have performed as a docent and walking history tour guide.

Cassie is currently studying Museum Studies at Mesa College with aspirations of working as a freelance curator.
